These are portraits of car-drivers round the circumference of the Mediterranean. Van Denderen photographed the drivers between 2003 and 2007 while working on his project So Blue, So Blue. The countries touched by the same water are very different in landscape and architecture, but once the men and women sit behind steering-wheels, they have a lot in common.
